We pray for members of our parish who are sick, homebound, recovering, or in any kind of need: Kathy Abbott, Molly Summerlin, Cynthia Baker, Frances DeHart, Shirley Sommer, Steven Mason (brother of Fred Mason), William Walker (brother of Elaine Walker), Steve Beggs (friend of the Burtchs), Chuck Mohler (father of parishioner Karen Cornett), Leslie Sharpe, Kim Gotwals, Thomas White, Marcia Tuttle, Allie Hsiao (friend of the Posts), Janet Kelly (sister of Barbara Post), Saleem and Ismath (brothers of nursery care provider, Saira Rasheed), Lloyd Blair (friend of Ginny Hedlund), Peter Thomas, Adam and Matt (sons of Rosemary and Michael Stauff), Eleanor Nelson (sister of Andrea Phillips), Sally Ball (mother of Andrew Ball), Amelia Kasciulek (goddaughter of Lisette Bolduc), Ann Willis, Ann Williams, Kathy Bratton (family friend of Susie Smith), Ray and Beverly Ann Howe, Elaine Walker, and Jim Forbes (father of Shannon Holmes). Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten; nor the hope of the poor be taken away.

We pray for those impacted by flood waters in Texas and the Triangle. Almighty God, your Holy Spirit moved over the waters in the beginning of creation, and your Son Jesus walked on the Sea of Galilee: Be mightily present with all those impacted by catastrophic flooding in the Hill Country of Texas and in the Triangle. Be close to the lost that they may be found; guide and protect those who search; strengthen those who await news of loved ones; comfort those who mourn; provide for those who have lost homes and livelihoods. And in the midst of things we cannot understand, empower us to entrust all to your never-failing love, and give us the will to persevere in our response to their needs. All this we ask through your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We pray for members of our parish who are expecting children. Children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is a gift.
We pray for those who have died. Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon them
We pray for our theological schools, especially Sewanee School of Theology, Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, and the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies at Duke Divinity School. Enlighten by your Holy Spirit those who teach and those who learn, that, rejoicing in the knowledge of your truth, they may worship you and serve you.
We pray for the church in our community, our diocese, the nation, and the world: Sean, our Presiding Bishop; Samuel and Jennifer, our bishops; Mother Joyce, Angela, Paula, and Jason, our clergy; Gary, Chelsea, Lisa, Eli, and Eliza, our staff; Gyani and Madhu (Kirtipur Christian Fellowship in Nepal) and Catherine (ChildReach Africa in Uganda), our mission partners; and for the students and staff of L’École de Notre Dame in Molas, Haiti, and their priest, Père Laborde. Clothe your ministers with righteousness; let your people sing with joy.
We pray for Holy Family in this season of transition: Almighty God, you know the needs of your Church in every time and place: Look graciously upon the people of Holy Family in this time of endings and new beginnings, and grant us the guidance of your Holy Spirit as we seek together to discern your will for this parish in the months and years to come. All this we ask in the strong name of Jesus. Amen.
We pray for those in authority: Donald, our president, and Josh, our governor; and for those in prison: Jimmy and Ray (in prison), and Eddie (on death row); protect and defend the residents and staff of Orange County Correctional Facility; we pray for those transitioning from life in prison to life in freedom. Lord, keep this nation under your care; and guide us in the way of justice and truth.
